Two events organised by our colleagues at the Association of European Journalists, the Media Society and the Royal Television Society are open to members of the Press Club.
To mark 50 years since its formation, the AEJ UK section is hosting an event in partnership with the European Commission on Friday, 28 September from 2pm to 6.15pm at Europe House, 32 Smith Square, London SW1P 3EU.
Speakers include former senior civil servant Sir Martin Donnelly; Rt Hon Gisela Stuart, former MP and chair of Change Britain; Gina Miller, co-founder of Best for Britain and founder of the True and Fair Campaign; Peter Foster, Europe Editor of the Daily Telegraph; Imke Henkel, journalist for Zeit Online; and Stephen Jukes, former Reuters Head of Global News and Professor of Journalism at Bournemouth University. The event will conclude with a drinks reception.

Also, for those not attending the London Press Club Ball, BBC Director of Content Charlotte Moore will be delivering the Steve Hewlett Memorial Lecture on 11 October at the University of Westminster.
The annual lecture and a scholarship fund for students of journalism from lower income backgrounds was established by The Media Society and The Royal Television Society with support from the London Press Club in memory of Steve (pictured above) who died in February 2017.
