The LPC Ball in aid of the Journalists Charity has become an established social highlight in the media year. The 2009 event on 15th October reflected the current economic situation facing the media and the UK as a whole. The ‘Austerity Ball’ featured lower ticket prices than last year and a new venue – The Brewery in Chiswell Street, London.
Over the past five years, the London Press Club has raised more than £200,000 for the Journalists Charity. The ball is a glittering upmarket event attended by chief executives, editors, journalists and television presenters and programme makers from the major national newspapers and TV companies.
The 2010 press ball will take place on Thursday 14th October 2010 and is back at our traditional venue of the Natural History Museum. We are delighted that BBC Breakfast presenter Kate Silverton is back by popular demand and will host this year’s event; we will have a terrific “Money Can’t Buy” auction and dancing till late to Fil Straughan!
