Earlier this month, former London Press Club Director Carole Stone took part in the Funny Women 10th Anniversary Challenge where – very bravely – she performed a short, stand-up comedy slot for the first time in her life, for charity. Carole’s target was to raise £5000 for ‘Triumph over Phobia UK’ which sets up self-help groups around the country for people suffering from phobias or obsessive compulsive disorder. Thanks to the support and generosity of her many supporters, the final figure she raised was well over £10,000.
There has been a hige demand to see how Carole rose to the Comedy Challenge so we are staging – and recording – the event for those who could not be there on the nights. Do come and see Carole reprise her outrageous stand-up at an event The London Press Club will jointly host with The Media Society and Women in Journalism UK at the LPC’s home at the Adam Street Club.
Admission is £5 and there will be a pay bar.
